G Natural Bass Professional Bamboo Flute is 25 inches long flute and is the 8th flute of 4th octave. The flute is tuned to sound G4 pitch (391.995 Hz) when the upper three holes are closed.

When all the six holes are closed, the flute sounds D note of 4th octave (D4).

The G Natural Bass Professional Bamboo Flute which is also called Safed-5 bansuri is a transverse flute with a mouth hole and six finger holes. A 7th hole made offset from the line of the finger holes determines its 5th note which is D note.

The 7th hole when closed produce C# note, which is also called Tivra Madhyam (Mandra Saptak).

The format of G Natural Bass Bamboo Flute is Hindustani Style. The Safed-5 Hindustani Bansri or the North Indian Bansuri is designed to sound the root note i.e. G4 note (391.995 Hz) when the upper three holes are closed.

How to Play Complete Octave on G Natural Bass Bansuri?

The full octave of the G scale on the G Natural Bass Bansuri is played as follows:

• G4 : Upper three holes closed
• A4: Upper tow holes closed
• B4: The top hole is closed
• C5: Half of the top hole is closed
• D5: When all six holes are covered and air is blown with a relatively strong force (if blown gently, the lower notes will be produced)
• E5: When the last hole is opened (relatively stronger blow)
• F#5: Last two holes are opened (relatively stronger blow)
• G5: Upper three holes closed (relatively stronger blow)

Note : For D5, E5, F#5 & G5 note, one has to blow relatively stronger, else lower octave notes will sound.
